“I studied for years. And I still freeze when I speak.”
Relatable, right? You can read it, understand it, even write it. But the moment you have to speak, it’s gone.
Speaking is its own skill — and it’s built by speaking.
You’ve spent years taking the language in — reading it, hearing it, studying it. Speaking runs on something else: automaticity. Pulling words out fast, without stopping to think or translate. And automaticity builds one way only — by speaking. Actual time spent producing the language out loud.
But getting enough practice is hard.
Speaking with a teacher or in a conversation club is great. But a weekly session is hard to fit into a busy adult schedule, easy to skip, and still not much volume.
That’s where solo practice fills the gap. A little, often: small reps, most days, on your own time.
OkeeTalk is your private gym for speaking.
Pick a topic and talk — out loud, as long as you like. Come back tomorrow for another rep.
Investments, forgotten birthdays, getting sick. You can talk about all of it in your own language — here you practice saying it in the one you’re learning.
Come back to the same topics, spaced out over days. Each has three exercises that build on each other — plus a few extras when you want to push.
It’s just you and your voice — no audience, no one to perform for. Speaking out loud is where the nerves live, so this is where you get comfortable, in private, before it counts.
